When you start VCDS and use, it compare your serial with blacklisted and if there is present on blacklist VCDS send some command to CPU and rewrite EEprom so the cable is killed. If there is any cable (its serial number) hacked, they has a blacklist and every hacked serial number of cable is presented on new version of VCDS. Every Cable has unique serial which is encrypted on Eeprom of ATMega. There is a new version with CPU (D79F8513A but I think there is an AtMega and this mark is chinese try to mistify us), but with new USB controller (on my clone there isn any mark and nothing visible on the chip) There is old version with Atmel AT Mega and FT232 USB controller sometimes with Gal sometimes without gal and 7805 stabilisator.)Ģ. The general difference is on the USB controller.ġ. There are most modifications of this clones but minimal 2 main version of HW.
